Please be aware that Virtual machine performance can be impacted
by multiple variables. For networks with more than 500 users or
45Mbps of traffic, customers should use a dedicated machine running VMware
Server to eliminate the overhead of multiple operating systems.
On large networks, slow report generation or real-time monitor performance can be improved by increasing the resources available to the virtual machine or moving the virtual machine to a dedicated ESX server. In VMware Workstation or Fusion, additional processors and memory can be added to the virtual machine by selecting "edit virtual machine settings" and increasing the relevant values.
