Cymphonix Releases
Centralized Management, Reporting Appliance for Up to 100 EX Series Network
Composers
Multiple-site solution improves visibility and
streamlines reporting and policy management of Internet usage company wide
SALT
LAKE CITY, May 5, 2010 - Cymphonix®, a leader in Secure Web Gateway
solutions, today announced the release of a centralized management and
reporting appliance called the Cymphonix Network ConductorTM that provides a
single centralized interface for up to 100 Cymphonix Network Composer®
EX appliances. Cymphonix Network Conductor significantly improves visibility
and streamlines reporting and policy management of Internet usage across an
organization.
"Our customer base has consistently shown
strong interest in being able to centrally view and manage their entire
organization's Internet usage through a single integrated appliance," said
Brent Nixon, CEO of Cymphonix. "We're pleased to release the Network Conductor
product line in concert with our entirely new Network Composer suite to meet
this market demand. Our Composer appliance already combines previously separate
reporting, security and management functions into a single gateway; and now our
Network Conductor line similarly integrates every location into a single
management interface for unprecedented organizational visibility and control."
From the Web-based interface of the
Cymphonix Network Conductor, customers have one easy-to-use view of the
broadest summary reports and the most granular details that reveal up-to-date
aggregated visibility into threats, network efficiency and user productivity.
Detailed reports can include user activity, application traffic and potential
Internet threats. An organization can report and control up to 100 EX Network
Composer appliances from a single Network Conductor interface, providing better
security and Web optimization through multidimensional policy enforcement while
eliminating the need to correlate incomplete sets of data from multiple
appliances.
"As a managed
service provider, we have a more critical need than most to be able to oversee
multiple locations and clients quickly and easily. With Cymphonix Network Conductor, we finally
found a single appliance that allows us to provide an unmatched managed
service solution for our clients," said James
Brummer, director of Managed Services for Connecting Point. "We present a very challenging environment
for any centralized management and distributed administration platform but with
Network Conductor we can easily tailor Internet policies to match the
different needs of our clients. After
thorough testing of Cymphonix Network Conductor across multiple locations, we
have scaled this solution across our entire enterprise. This lets us provide tailored solutions to
clients to maximize their Internet resource use and employee productivity."
Cymphonix Network Conductor correlates data
by appliance, zones, locations and users across five to 100 locations with EX
Network Composers. Through a single Network Composer array, administrators can
create Internet usage policies in one location and push them to all other
locations as well as delegate local visibility and policy management to
individual on-site IT personnel. Cymphonix Network Conductor enables automated
reports to notify key individuals about network activity, accesses real-time
reports and historic views, and correlates data to determine patterns and
trends throughout a multiple-site organization.
Cymphonix Network Conductor is built on a 64-bit
architecture using Intel® Dual-Core or Quad-Core processors and
available in three models with memory and storage levels that scale according
to an organization's size. For a complete listing of Cymphonix Network Conductor
